FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Jul. 20th, 2019 02:10 am ★ First Impressions ♚ VISUAL: Eric is kind of the very embodiment of "straight white man" in appearance, if a poorly dressed one. He's definitely not stringbean-y in appearance, but he's rather plain? He's not explicitly muscley, nor is he very lanky and thin; he just kind of looks like a normal, constantly smiling dude. ♚ FASHION: This man has no sense of fashion. He likes his button down shirts and god help him, he can't fashion to save his life. Here's a reference for the level of bland disaster we're dealing with. ♚ DEMEANOUR: Eric very much gives off the demeanor of someone who's almost always positive; he's constantly smiling and he's at least somewhat friendly, though hearing him talk clashes with that entirely too much; he's surprisingly crass when he actually talks, and is honestly lowkey kind of a dick? A defensive one at that, especially when dealing with something unfamiliar to him, which...can make him come off pretty damn aggressive. There's also a certain amount of distance in his actions and the like, but surely that's fine. ♚ SOUND: Eric's voice actor is Keith Silverstein, who does a surprisingly impressive job of illustrating how jumpy and easily riled he is. Here is one of the better examples! (skip to 5:28:30, or as close to it as you can! youtube is being a jerk and won't let me timestamp.) ♚ SCENT: I NEVER KNOW WHAT TO PUT HERE...uh. Maybe mildly ice cream scented??? I don't even know. He smells like a person. ♚ MENTAL INFORMATION: Nothing in particular, and not applicable, I think. ♚ MAGICAL INFORMATION: None! ★ OOC ♚ BACKTAGGING: I'm game for it! I generally don't do too well at the two weeks+ mark, but feel free to poke me if you want to continue a thread. ♚ FOURTHWALLING: No thank you! ♚ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Eric will likely not react well to it; it could range from anywhere to being embarrassed to outright shoving people off, so. Maybe not? Or at least discuss it with me first so we can hash shit out. ♚ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PUNCH THIS MAN IN THE FACE. LITERALLY JUST ASK ME, I WILL GLADLY ALLOW IT? For anything beyond that, let's discuss it!! ♚ RELATIONSHIPS: He's already got a girlfriend who he loves dearly at home, so it. Would absolutely be an uphill battle if it did happen at all. I'm not going to explicitly say no (I will explicitly say why, though, dear god. Get some taste.) but let's discuss it first??? ★ Permissions ♚ CONTENT WARNINGS: So! I'm just gonna be blunt about this; Eric's backstory/in-game deals with content warnings for child abuse, child death, child endangerment, and a mild suicidal ideation warning. Most of these aren't likely to come up in casual conversation because Eric is absolutely going to keep a very tight lid on his issues, as well as generally avoiding any and all discussion of them! Because he's totally fine, what are you talking about. If they do come up, they will absolutely be tagged, though. Still, in general, if you want to avoid having these subjects come up at all, or want to avoid playing with Eric altogether, I'll absolutely respect that; just lemme know below! ♚ IC TRIGGERS: Eric actually has one big in-character trigger; strangulation. (He does admittedly have some problems with being responsible for death that elicit a similar response, but strangulation is the biggest one.) It does kind of render him near catatonic/mumbling about his...issues...I will generally avoid going into detail about this, however, but I do want to make sure that this is made clear. ♚ ZERO TIME DILEMMA SPOILERS: The good news is that Eric's route and general existence only spoils one of the possible endings that you can get, given that he comes from the timeline where Mira dies and he shoots his other teammate dead; HOWEVER there are still some later game spoilers that he may know that I can definitely avoid, so if you wanna do that, hit me up and I'll gladly avoid.
